Do you or someone you know want to RIDE AT NIGHT but don’t feel confident enough? Biking after dark can be practical and fun, but it’s important to plan ahead and make sure you always have the right equipment to be visible every time you get on your bike.
Here’s a FREE bicycle safety class, courtesy of AS&R’s fiscal sponsor Bike East Bay…and it’s RIGHT HERE IN ALBANY!!
At this free class you’ll learn how to:
- See and be seen in all conditions
- Meet and exceed the legal requirements for lights and reflectors
- Choose the right lights for the type of bicycling you’ll be doing
- Bling up your bike and yourself with highly visible accessories (like our very own reflective bands!)

Plenty of Bike Parking for you for this workshop!

This is an indoor, classroom-only workshop for adults and teens, made possible via a partnership with the Albany YMCA with funding from the Alameda County Transportation Commission.
NO BIKE REQUIRED FOR THIS FREE CLASS, but you must register here.
The next class in this series is “Bike Theft Prevention” on March 5.
