Meet at San Pablo Park playground, take a tour of Berkeley/Oakland/Emeryville, and then join us for a post-ride BBQ/Potluck at San Pablo Park starting around 12:30 (or whenever we finish the ride). Sign up to participate in the BBQ/Potluck on the Geared 4 Kids Facebook Group page.

Mark your calendar and join other families for the 3rd annual Bikes in Berkeley Fiesta de la Tierra! This festival
School kids learn how to cycle safely and have fun doing it, while following the rules of the road.

is a project of the Safe Routes to Schools Alameda County Berkeley Task Force in partnership with Berkeley Unified School District. This day of bicycle celebration and education will prepare families for Bike to School and Work Days and bring the community together on bikes in honor of the Earth.

The day will begin with a Family Cycling Workshop at 10:00am, with the festival starting at 12:00pm. Festival activities will include, bike and helmet decoration station, our annual Youth Bike Swap beginning at 11, a Bike Rodeo to practice rules of the road, helmet fittings, bike blended smoothies, bicycle inspired entertainment, a cargo bike demo station, bicycle face painting and photos booth, the bicycle Trivia Wheel, a Bike Polo demo and a whole lot more to inspire, educate and encourage bicycle riding.

Street Level Cycles has graciously donated free bike tuneup services at the Arts & Green Festival since 2008

For the 8th straight year, non-profit bike workshop Street Level Cycles will provide free or low-cost bike tuneups, so if you have an old bike that you want to get road-ready, come on down! Don’t forget, Bike to Work Day is on May 14th, so here’s a way to help make sure your ride is up and running well.
**At 2 pm SLC will be giving a Free “How to Fix a Flat Tire” Clinic so bring your bike and learn an important survival skill!

Join the City of Albany’s Department of Recreation and a bunch of your fellow Rollers as we explore Albany by bike on Spring, Summer and Autumn evenings. Each of the events will trace different routes that pass through parts of Albany you may not have biked before. All levels of cyclists are encouraged to join.
The Albany Peloton rolls down Peralta Avenue for another fun Bike About Town

The ride begins at 6:30 at Bikes on Solano at Solano and Peralta in Albany.
Come a few minutes early to pump up your tires. Ride maps are distributed, and we take off in a big group. There are experienced cyclists to lead and bring up the rear. After wheeling about for a half hour or forty-five minutes we return to Peralta Park, just across the street from our start, for light refreshments, a raffle, and general carousing.
Dates this year are Fridays May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21 and September 18.

Wednesday May 20th, show unity with your friends & neighbors in Richmond by participating in an international and Richmond tradition: the Ride of Silence.
The Ride of Silence is a free ride that asks its cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph, wear helmets, follow the rules of the road and remain silent during the ride. There are no sponsors and no registration fees. The ride, which is held during National Bike Month, aims to raise the awareness of motorists, police and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways. This peaceful ride is also a chance to show respect for and honor the lives of those who have been killed or injured while cycling.
Join with your Richmond friends and neighbors at their annual Ride of Silence.
Meet at Richmond City Hall at 5:00pm, sign waiver, receive armbands. Dedication and honor injured riders, Vice Mayor Jael Myrick officiating. Hear ride instructions.
Depart at 5:30pm. Helmets are required.

Creekside Walk is a 128-unit residential project located in the southeast portion of the El Cerrito Plaza shopping center. The approximately 3 acre project site borders the City of Albany to the south, the Ohlone Greenway to the east and El Cerrito Plaza BART station to the north.
The 128-unit transit-oriented development includes 19 affordable housing units and 194 parking spaces. It consists of two separate three-story buildings above single-level parking garages. Vehicles will access the parking garages via a driveway on the western edge of the two buildings. For additional project details, please see: http://www.el-cerrito.org/creeksidewalk.
As part of the project, an approximately 180 foot long portion of Cerrito Creek, currently culverted, will be daylighted, a new public access path that will connect to the Ohlone Greenway will be provided and traffic circulation improvements throughout El Cerrito Plaza will be implemented.
Construction will begin soon.
