Kudos to Ian for suggesting, to Sylvia for setting up AS&R’s participation, to Ken for coordinating; Consensus: successful collaboration for AS&R. FoodieLand is well organized, professional. Amy reports a good experience, lots of bikes. Ken reports the organizer told him at one point must have had 50 bikes; rented 10 racks this time (July = $250 $25/rack/3 days. FoodieLand pays on delivery (when they pick up racks; FoodieLand wants 15 racks for future. Have offered AS&R space for an info booth. Amy can come for a few hours on Sunday, October 6 (now maybe October 5, also), due to other commitments. Ken will approach Bike East Bay to see if they would like to partner with AS&R at booth, esp since Bay Trail to be soon finished in that area. Ken reports needs to refresh parts (missing feet etc; may have been damaged at event, but some already missing previously). Ken will inventory in future so we can charge for damages; Ken/Amy to put next FoodieLand dates on FB/website (website done); Sherie to put FoodieLand write-up in August and September GREENways (also list October event in the GW calendar section).

Regional Transportation Tax Input Opportunity:
Ken reports an anonymous donor has recognized need for Nov. 2020 election ballot to tax residents/homeowners (regional, 9 Bay Area counties) to initiate large-scale transit projects.
Rene Rivera and partner have been retained to review what human scale transit projects can be developed. Ian to participate when returns from out-of-country. Ken: the meeting he attended was well-attended by many advocates from communities in 9-county region. Follow-up meeting expected.
Fast Freddie Foundation event: AS&R members Amy, Tony and Dale participated last weekend in putting bikes together for kids. Kids had to wrench the bike of their choosing with adult supervision, “real mechanics” also in attendance. Built up 13 bikes, and there were 3 more for others who are currently out of town. Ohlone Gardens (off Ohlone Greenway/on Portola) has large, secure bikeroom, with double decker locks, etc.
Happy Hour: Will we have Happy Hour in August? (No T&S meeting). Ken: let’s table for now, Harry will work with calendar to get August event off calendar. Sherie to remove from DRAFT August GREENways. Consider possible Aug. happy hour (with Walk Bike Berkeley?) or policy event.
