Pierce Street Rehabilitation, Re-Striping and Bicycle Path Project

Link to City of Albany page, with description of project: http://www.albanyca.org/index.aspx?page=802

This Environmental Impact Report was prepared by LSA Associates of Berkeley and was presented to the Traffic & Safety Commission on September 24th:  http://www.albanyca.org/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=9769

Public comment on the EIR extended through September 28th. The EIR seems to be rather uncontroversial and there have been few objections to that aspect of the project.

The Pierce Street project itself will be an agenda item at the Traffic & Safety Commission meeting at the Community Center on Thursday, October 22nd at 7 pm. The T&SC anticipates people with all viewpoints attending, and we encourage AS&R members to attend and make their opinions known. The T&SC will make its recommendation to City Council after this meeting, so this is our last chance to have an impact on this particular commission re. this project.
