Buchanan Street Bicycle and Pedestrian Freeway Undercrossing

Completed.  ribbon cutting was 2007.  Prior to this path being designed and paved, the only access to the Bay Trail from the pedestrian/bicycle bridge adjacent to Buchanan Street was either crossing the busy and extremely unsafe freeway onramps (both 80 and 580), or to walk over the railroad tracks and go through a break in the fence to a de facto, but unpaved footpath under the freeway.  The new paved trail facilitates safe access to between the Bay Trail and Albany proper.
