Join Bike East Bay’s certified instructor s for a day of fun games\, safety drills\, skills building\, and a neighbo rhood ride.\nThis workshop is for kids who are able to ride a bike and rea dy to take to the paths and roadways with their parents (suggested grade r ange 2nd-6th). The event includes instruction on:\n\nfitting a helmet\nper forming a bike safety check\ncommunicating with other road users\nriding i n a straight line and avoiding obstacles\nas well as navigating safely thr ough intersections\, all while playing fun games!\n\n\nAll minors must be accompanied by an adult to participate\, both with their own working bikes and helmets. \nIn conjunct ion with the Solano Avenue Association “Stroll-ish” festival (a week befor e Earth Day\,) Fillgood Zero Waste Store owner Stephanie Regni is bringing tog ether groups with an environmental mission to continue the important conve rsation about taking care of our environment.
\n \nAlb any Strollers & Rollers is one of the non-profits which will have an information table there\, focusing on its mission of improving Active Transportation in order to reduce our Greenhouse Gas Emissions. Albany Climate Action Coalition \, the Albany High Sch ool Climate Justice group and the Plastic Reduction Working Group will also participate.
